Desert Roses

3 year old adenium that produced a seed pod.
Medium sized adenium with mottled pink flower.

One side of the seed pod opened.

Known locally as an Impala Lilly or Sabi Star, I recently harvested seed from my 3 year old adenium.

I've had great success with the majority of the seeds sprouting. I planted 2 thirds in well draining soil with plastic wrap covering them, and the rest in cotton wool in an ice cream tub, placing both in morning sun.

It'll be interesting to see what colours come out of these, as the one I harvested from is white with a pink trim on the edges of the petals and may be crossed with my other medium sized adenium that has a brighter mottled pink flower.
