Pallet Boards
Pallet boards are so awesome, I have a couple of outdoor pieces, mostly for garden storage and pot plants. But I would love to have a more refined item like in these pictures! Planning on refurbishing a cupboard I recently received, I'll be sure to include before and afters!

Breath Buster Dog Treats
I harvested some of our home grown vegetables on the weekend, its such a good feeling growing your own food! Spinach, lettuce, beans, mint and parsley... I then baked some Breath Buster treats for our two furry kids using the mint and parsley I picked.
These bikkies are cost effective and healthier (no preservatives or additives) than store treats.
The added bonus is that they absolutely love them!

Here's the recipe:
Breath Buster Treats (makes between 24 - 48)
- 2 cups wholewheat flour
- 1 large egg
- 3 Tbl. vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh mint
- 2/3 cup milk
- One medium sized bowl
- Rolling pin
- Measuring cups
- Wax cookie baking sheet
- Cookie cutter (I find a small one is better)
Preheat oven to 180 celsius. In a medium
bowl, combine egg, oil, parsley, mint and milk; mix well.
Slowly stir in flour mixture and then hand mix until it becomes a firm dough.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 15mm high, and cut out shapes using a cookie cutter (I have a small dog boned shape that I found on Ebay, that's ideal).
Place cut outs on a wax cookie baking sheet on a baking tray.
Bake for 25 mins. until firm.
Store cooled biscuits in tightly covered container in a tin or the refrigerator.
They keep for about a max of 2 weeks outside of the fridge.

Cheese Straws are yummy
A friend of mine made these and was kind enough to tell me where the recipe came from! The only thing this recipe doesn't mention is that the 30ml Roberston they refer to is the Robertson's herb pastes that come in tubs at the supermarket.
Quite a nice idea and perfect for a quick snack or to take to a function.
